Video- How to Pick Good Fish Oils

Hey everybody, here’s the first Youtube video clip I shot, all about how to pick out good fish oil supplements.  The preview doesn’t seem to show up here on the front page, so just click on “Continue Reading” or the title to view the video.  Or, go to Youtube and check out all the clips on our channel:  healthyandy9.

    Hi Andy,

I like your video and agree with the caution that
you describe about choosing the right fish oil.

    It is quite a dilemma.

What do you think about Flaxseed as an alternative?

As a plant source, there isn’t any sea trash in it, right?

Robert, great question. I actually go over this in my free guide to choosing nutritional supplements, which you can download on the upper right hand corner of the page. But to quickly address the question of flax: Yes, you avoid the issue of filtration, and dealing with the nasty gross toxic crap that we dump into our oceans. And, it’s vegetarian, so people with ethical concerns will be okay with flax. Finally, flax provides a parent compound, ALA, that the body converts to DHA and EPA as needed. But, flax is not as easily used by the body as fish oils are… it’s something like a 10% ratio. So there’s a trade-off involved. Again, I go into a lot more detail about the pros and cons of flax in the free report, so check it out and let me know if you found it to be helpful.

Thanks for taking time to comment and stay healthy!
